Nyadak “Duckie” Thot is an Australian-born, South Sudanese supermodel. Duckie’s family migrated to Australia in the early 1990s to escape the longstanding scourge of civil war in South Sudan. Duckie has always felt a deep calling within herself to do something for her people—for South Sudan, Australia, women, the black community, and anyone facing injustice or oppression. Duckie’s career as a top model has only accelerated this drive, as she left her home country to further her career in New York at the age of 19. Having recently walked the Victoria’s Secret 2018 Fashion Show, Duckie is now sought by the world’s leading designers and photographers. She currently serves as L’Oreal Paris Global Ambassador and has landed campaigns with Balmain, Moschino, Fenty Beauty and numerous other top brands, magazine covers and editorials. With 1.1 million Instagram followers and counting, Duckie is cementing her place—and voice—as supermodel and industry game changer.
