Premier global talent and literary agency UTA has signed a new long-term lease at Vornado Realty Trust’s 888 Seventh Avenue to build a new NYC headquarters, it was announced today. UTA will occupy the entire seventh floor and portions of the eighth and ninth floors at 888 Seventh Avenue, which is located between West 56th and West 57th Streets, a few blocks from Central Park and Columbus Circle. The agency currently occupies approximately 15,000 square feet at the office building, occupying portions of the sixth floor, the ninth floor and the 11th floor. The agency plans to move in at year’s end following construction.

UTA will continue to operate from its worldwide headquarters in Beverly Hills. In addition to Beverly Hills and New York, UTA has also offices in London, Nashville, Toronto, Miami and Malmo, Sweden. UTA has more than 300 agents and more than 700 employees globally.

UTA’s deal to create the new NYC offices follows 24 months of rapid expansion by the agency that includes last year’s acquisition of The Agency Group, the world’s largest independent music agency, and the 2014 acquisition of New York-based Bienstock, the market-leading broadcast news agency, as well as the addition of several dozen agents from competing agencies.

The new space in 888 Seventh Avenue will consolidate all of UTA’s agents, executives and staff that have been working from UTA’s existing office in 888 Seventh Avenue as well as the Bienstock offices at 250 West 57th Street and The Agency Group offices at 142 West 57th Street.

UTA was represented in the 888 Seventh Avenue lease deal by Mitchell Konsker and Alexander Chudnoff, Vice Chairmen, and Benjamin Bass, Vice President, of JLL. Building owner Vornado Realty Trust was represented in-house by Jared Solomon, Vice President.

The 46-story 888 Seventh Avenue was designed by Emery Roth & Sons and completed in 1971. Vornado Realty Trust completed a full modernization of the office tower in 2010, with the new lobby, elevators and plazas designed by renowned architect Moed de Armas. Located adjacent to Carnegie Hall and steps from Columbus Circle, Central Park and the Ritz Carlton Hotel, 888 Seventh Avenue offers magnificent views of the Park and the Manhattan skyline.

"Consolidating our team in New York has been a top priority, and we’re excited to create a vibrant new space that will offer an enhanced experience for clients and colleagues. Our New York presence is critical to the growth of the agency and our ability to deliver the opportunities our clients need and expect."
