Entrepreneur, Angel Investor & Best-Selling Author Co-Founder and CEO of Bionic

“Most established companies face a key survival challenge,” says David Kidder, CEO of Bionic, lifelong entrepreneur, best-selling author and angel investor in more than thirty startups. “Operational efficiency and outdated enterprise bureaucracy are at war with new growth.”

The world is changing faster than ever before, and the velocity of disruption continues to accelerate exponentially. To keep up—and grow—businesses must build for where the world is going, not for where it’s been. Legacy companies are skilled at incrementally growing big businesses into even bigger ones - the Big to Bigger. But they are less adept at discovering new opportunities and transforming them into big businesses, the way entrepreneurs and early-stage investors must - the New to Big. Kidder provocatively challenges corporate leaders to forgo limiting mindsets focused on achieving efficiency perfection in favor of growth mindsets that create permission to drive growth exploration and discovery.

Kidder and his co-author Christina Wallace are answering the call to help organizations adopt the mindset of entrepreneurs and early-stage investors. In their new book, New to Big, they reveal their proprietary blueprint and insights for installing a permanent growth capability inside any company—the Growth Operating System.

By focusing on what consumers do rather than what they say, celebrating productive failure, embracing a portfolio approach, and learning from the outside-in, Kidder and Wallace argue any company can go on offense and win the future.
